These little rubber items work great! They cling to every ear wire I have tried them on and they stay put. The shape makes them easier to hang onto when you use them as well. Not likely to lose these either when wearing them, or attaching them.
I sell a lot of sterling silver children's earrings in my store. the original backs that come with the earrings usually suck, and my customers used to complain their kids were always losing their earrings. now i replace the backs with these kids CANNOT pull them off they are amazing. also, i sell little plastic bags of extra backs to customers at 50cents a pair. they are pricey for a couple pieces of plastic, but I just pass that cost over to my customers through the revenue coming in re: the extra backs.
I have ordered clutches from various shops in the past, and these are my favorite as they fit snug on the wires that are listed in their description. I like the clear rubber as they aren't very noticeable. I use these with the Simple French Hooks, SS-Ear07
I find the hole on these can be too big for some of my ear wires. I prefer the softer rubber ones which have almost completely dissapeared from the market - they have enough give to fit a wider variety of wire guages.
Great for Holding Earrings on Display CardsSeptember 7, 2011
These rubber clutches are ideal for holding earrings on display cards. Before I bought them my earrings fell out easily at craft fairs when people picked them up. But now they stay in place and fall perfectly! I will be keeping these in stock from now on!!
I can't imagine selling or wearing a pair of earrings without these. I have peace of mind when I wear these with my earrings and also when I sell jewelry, I feel like I am ensuring my customers don't lose their earrings.
This was requested by a customer. After checking into the available items for this purpose, I chose this for the appearance (or should I say lack thereof) as well as the price. Will use them on all of my future earring designs.
These are functional, while not my favorite thing they are way better than some I have seen and especially for light earrings they keep the french style wires in the ear. Would prefer if they were available in a "clear" plastic rather than opaque.
These clutches are small and fit very firmly. Some cluthches I have purchased from other suppliers have such a large hole in the middle they slide off. These don't, but they cost more. I also like the fact that Artbeads lists all the ear wires they fit. Nice touch.
They are what they are, right? I myself have never had an issue with shepherd's hooks totally coming out of my piercing, but I guess some folks have. They are inexpensive and do their job behind the design so I include them when I remember to include them. Why not?
Great on standard earwires for ensuring you do not lose your one of a kind earring project. I wanted these for some 14K Gold earwires and the holes were too big to stay on. Bummer! The ones I really needed them for!
This product is made with great quality, inexpensive, small and not easily seen while doing a big job of holding quality earrings all day long. I am a teacher and love to use these little clutches on my earrings, because I never have to check to see if my earrings are on the rest of the day.
These are a high quality item and much better than you can buy in the craft stores. My customers like and use them. I'm always surprised at how many people buying my earrings do not know about the rubber ear clutch.
the helpful little rubber stoppers used on earringSeptember 7, 2010
I especially love this rubber earring clutches. I have the same issue as my customers, not putting something behind the wire on the earring sometimes I lose and earring.
You have the best earring clutches I have found. I will continue to order them in bulk, as it is that time of the year for early Christmas shopping, craft fairs, etc. I always sell my earrings with the rubber clutches on the earrings.
I have tried using cheaper clear clutches and keep coming back to these. They work really well and stay in place! Not too big and not too small, so they are easy for my customers to put on. The material they are made of is pliable, so they don't get hard and stiff.
All of my customers love to receive these little rubber clutches with their finished jewelry purchase. Unless you use lever backs for all of your earrings, this is another staple that any jewelry design should add to their must have list.
I supply a pair of these with every earring set I sell. They are great for people with allergies, as sometimes the post will not bother the client, but the clutch back will. I prefer them to the regular clutch back as they do not slip, making the earring more secure.
I use these with a drop of Hypo cement or E6000 to finish my beaded snowflake forms. You can add the ribbon before the clutch on the end you want to hang and there's no need to bend the wire. And the clear color works perfectly for a snowflake!
I still use them with all the earwires I make, but this was a bonus use that saved a ton of time!
I noticed I was spending too much time polishing the Sterling Silver Earwires on that are on display. I started using the Clear "Rubber" Earwire Clutch from Artbeads and was very impressed that they were exactly as described. They may cost a little more than the other type I was using but they keep your earrings looking fresh. That's really important.
