The woman in this Emerald pendant has a piercing gaze that creates a stunning focal point in this bold gunmetal chain necklace. Strong, heavy pieces of jewelry are all the rage, making this piece the perfect addition to your wardrobe.
Step One: On a two-inch copper-plated 20 gauge head pin, thread the rectangle black onyx Emerald pendant. Finish with a simple loop. For help with simple loops visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step Two: Cut two 15-inch pieces of gunmetal-plated 3 strand + 3 link chain, making sure that you have five groups of links and that each piece begins and ends with a section of links. Set one piece aside. Fold the piece in half. Attach a jump ring to the center link of the gunmetal chain where the chain has been folded in half. Attach the ends to the loop half of the pewter gunmetal-plated clasp using two 5mm gunmetal-plated open jump rings. For help with jump rings visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Repeat this step to attach the other piece of chain to the hook end of the clasp.
Step Three: Cut a 7-inch piece of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire. Attach one end of the wire to one section of chain at the jump ring using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. For help with crimp tubes visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Trim any excess wire.
Step Four: On the wire, string one Brown with Olive Green, Ivory Swirl Lentil Bead, one 12mm Helix Crystal Golden Shadow bead, one lampwork, one helix, the emerald pendant, one helix, one lampwork, one helix and one lampwork. Finish the necklace by attaching the wire to the other length of chain at the jump ring using the gold-filled crimp tube. Trim any excess wire.
