While one side maintains its shiny copper color, the other is treated with an azul patina procedure. The patina process is a natural aging procedure where chemicals, fire and earth components create a colored seal on the copper to protect it from further corrosion. With this azul patina process, the result is a turquoise blue coloring filtered across the copper. Each sheet will vary in its appearance and is coated with a protective wax. A second layer of paste wax should be applied to protect the coloring. Play with mixed media elements and use this sheet to design your own unique piece of jewelry!
