This 36 gauge copper square features an intricate imprint of garden trellis patterns across its thin surface for added texture. One side of this sheet has been detailed with a mottled patina process, producing a wonderful marbled pattern of black slicks floating along the warm copper color to give it extra dimension. This sheet is made from a process similar to the natural aging process of copper and bronze, when chemicals produce new colors on the surface to protect the material from corrosion. Each sheet is coated with a protective wax, and should be coated with a second layer of paste wax to maintain appearance. While you can cut these sheets with sturdy scissors, make sure these scissors are used for the sole purpose of cutting the sheets because they will lose their ability to cut paper.
