Elizabeth Pendant Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
An iridescent shell and a swirled silver link add a modern twist to the classic look of the black and white cameo on this Elizabeth pendant. This pendant is a perfect example of the Modern Victoria trend, which takes classic styles and reworks them by adding a few contemporary touches.
This project works best using a flat surface in a well ventilated room. Before you begin, lay out the following items: a 30x22mm mother of pearl oval shell pendant, a TierraCast® 16mm antique silver-plated spiral ring link and a 10x14mm resin cameo. You will also need something to mix the epoxy on, a piece of wax or plastic paper will work and a stirring device that can double as an applicator. Try using a small paint brush that will later be thrown away, the handle of a plastic spoon or even a toothpick.
Step one: Squirt the epoxy into the container and mix it together thoroughly. When the epoxy is mixed, apply a liberal amount to the ring link. Being careful not to get the epoxy on your fingers, lay the ring link onto the center of the shell pendant.
Step two: Apply epoxy to the back of the cameo, making sure that the epoxy reaches the edges. These portions of the cameo will have the most contact with the link.
Step three: Set aside your project and let it dry completely.
