Elena Earrings Instructions Designed by Jennie, Artbeads Customer Service Team
Wire and beads come together to create eye-catching hoop earrings full of texture. Jennie used a woven wire technique to bring character to her design. You can learn this technique for yourself and see more design variations in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Step one: Follow the instructions outlined in this Artbeads Cafe episode to create the base of your earring using 18 and 24 gauge antique copper Artbeads Designer Wire and 28 Czech glass 8/0 Matubo beads in crystal blue luster.
Step two: After wrapping the ends, add a slight twist to the center of the design, to shape and form a drop shape with the ends meeting. Finish the ends by wrapping the 18 gauge wire ends around each other, finishing with a wrapped loop.
Step three: Open the loop on the antique copper 21 gauge round earwire and add it to the loop on the earring. Close the loop. Repeat steps one through three for the other earring.
