Deco Dream Porcelain Pendant Necklace

This impressive necklace is actually quite simple to make. Make it for yourself or as a gift to be treasured for a lifetime. Step one: String a tangerine silk ribbon through a hand-painted porcelain pendant and set aside. Step two: Cut a length of Beadalon .018 jewelry wire to approximately 30 inches. String it through the pendant alongside the ribbon. Attach a Bead Stopper to one side of the wire close to the pendant to keep it from slipping through. Step three: On the other side of the wire, string one peacock nugget pearl followed by a 4mm Swarovski khaki faceted cube, five more pearls, a 6mm Swarovski light tanzanite AB cube, another khaki cube and a light tanzanite AB cube. Starting with the five pearl segment, repeat the pattern three more times and finish with five pearls and a 4mm khaki cube. Using a 2x2mm crimp tube, crimp the wire to an open jump ring. Step four: Remove the Bead Stopper and repeat the pattern on the other side of the design. Finish by crimping the wire to the other large jump ring and trim all excess wire. Attach each jump ring to one side of the toggle clasp. Step five: In order to get the length of the ribbon just right, we recommend you slip the ribbon through the 3x3mm sterling silver crimp tube, through the jump ring and back through the tube, but do not crimp yet. When you have done this on both sides of the necklace, put the necklace on and fiddle with the length until you reach the length you desire. If you have a helper nearby, it is best to have them flatten the crimp with a chain nose plier while you still have it on. It is the best guarantee that you have the right length. The ribbon holds fairly well in the un-flattened crimps, so if you are working on your own you can carefully slip the necklace off and flatten them yourself. Trim the excess ribbon and you are done!
