How to apply Swarovski Elements Rose Pins

Rose pins are like flatbacks in that they add dazzling spots of sparkle to any design. Rose pins, however, last longer than flatbacks on fabric and give designs a professional touch. Rose pins are also as easy to attach as flatbacks, as we'll show you in this helpful Handy Tip.
STEP ONESTEP TWOSTEP THREE
You will need to use the crystal applicator tool with the rose pin die set (TOOL-0051). Everything you need will come in a box that has a labeled diagram, so you can find everything easily.The rose pin die set comes with upper dies for rose pins sizes SS16, SS20 and SS34. It also comes with a lower die that fits both SS16 and SS20 rose pins and another lower die that fits SS34 rose pins. Also included are an adaptor, a thumbscrew, adhesive disks and a cotter pin.Pick out the correct size upper die for the rose pin you want to attach and an adhesive disk. The adhesive disk will help the rose pin stay in place when you are attaching them to your fabric.
STEP FOURSTEP FIVESTEP SIX
Remove the paper liner from the adhesive disk and place the disk with the adhesive side facing down into the upper die. Use the cotter pin to help you position the disk.Attach the upper die to the unthreaded side of the adaptor using the thumbscrew.The adaptor will screw the upper die into place in the upper die holder. Place the lower die into the lower die holder and adjust the small screw on the lower die holder to ensure the lower die stays in place.
STEP SEVENSTEP EIGHTSTEP NINE
Adjust the stroke adjustment screw to allow the upper and lower die to meet when the tool is squeezed.Insert the rose pin into the upper die.Place your fabric between the dies so that the rose pin is positioned where you want it. Make sure to punch on the right side of the fabric. Squeeze the handles of the crystal applicator.
STEP TENSTEP ELEVENSTEP TWELVE
You now have a rose pin attached to your design!Another way to attach rose pins to your designs is to set up the rose pin directly where you want it in the fabric. Simply push it through the fabric to let the teeth, or prongs, come out. Make sure they are all poking out of the fabric.Place the fabric with the rose pin into the upper die. Squeeze the crystal applicator to attach the rose pin.
STEP THIRTEENSTEP FOURTEEN
The back side of your fabric should look like this, with all the little teeth flattened outward against the fabric.The finished product looks sparkling and professional!
