 | Wire crochet is sweeping the beading world and we are on board with this stunning necklace designed for a young bride. If you are not on your way to the altar, this fun necklace would look just as great with jeans and a t-shirt. The key to making the curl in the wire is using a crochet hook that makes a loop smaller than your beads. For a straight stitch you can use a larger needle or leave a loop between each bead addition. We have an entire complementary set for this design. For free instructions for the bracelet, please click here. For the earrings, click here and for the flower girl necklace, please click here.
Step one: String 45 pearls on 26 gauge, half-hard wire. Using a size 0 crochet needle, crochet 14 stitches of chain before adding your beads. For instructions on how to crochet with wire, please visit the Handy Tips section of our Learning Center.
Step two: Crochet in 45 pearls from the earth mix. Finish with another 14 stitches.
Step three: Finish both ends of the necklace by attaching the clasp using wrapped loops. For instructions on how to make a wrapped loop, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step four: As a final touch, on the loop side of the toggle, string a pearl on a head pin and attach it to the clasp with a wrapped loop.
