Create Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
The end of the school year is near and this necklace makes a wonderful teacher's gift. Make this necklace for any artist in your life and they will surely cherish it!
Step one: Cut a length of Beadalon® satin copper to approximately 19 inches. Using a copper crimp tube, crimp one end of the wire to a brass plated dotted toggle. For instructions on How to Crimp, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step two: String thirty five 5mm copper plated pewter heishi spacer beads followed by a fire polished bead, ten more heishi beads, another fire polished, an antique copper-plated pewter spirit bead and another fire polished glass bead. Now string ten antique rhodium-plated pewter 5mm heishi beads, a fire polished, antique silver-plated spirit bead, fire polished, ten antique copper 5mm heishi beads, three antique copper 4mm heishi beads, an antique rhodium A, three more 4mm heishi, the B, three heishi, C, six 4mm, the antique rhodium 1, three heishi, the 2, three heishi, 3 and three more 4mm heishi. Now reverse the pattern of the rest of the beads as you work back toward the clasp.
Step three: Attach an open jump ring to the create crown charm and hang it in the center of your design. Crimp the end of the wire to the other part of your toggle clasp, trim the extra wire and you are finished!
