Courage Necklace

Show your support in the fight against breast cancer with this unique design. Follow these instructions to create this beautiful necklace for a friend, a mother or a sister who is struggling with breast cancer or celebrating their survival. We feel the porcelain nudo accosciato pendant evokes a sense of feminine strength and peace, especially when coupled with the dramatic gunmetal chain. Step one: On a 1½-inch gunmetal-plated 23 gauge eye pin thread a CRYSTALLIZED™ 8mm rose water opal faceted round. Finish with a simple loop. For help with simple loops please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Repeat two more times. Repeat the steps to make links with the remaining crystals; two 10mm rose AB 2x faceted rounds, two 12mm light rose faceted rounds and two16x10mm black diamond cubist beads. Step two: Cut eight 1-inch pieces of gunmetal-plated figaro chain and two 1½-inch pieces of chain. Step three: In the following order, link together the bar end of the 12mm gunmetal-plated curled toggle clasp, a 6mm gunmetal-plated 21 gauge open jump ring (repeat twice), a 1½-inch piece of chain, a rose water opal link, a 1-inch piece of chain, rose AB 2x link, 1-inch chain, black diamond cubist link, 1-inch chain, light rose link, 1-inch chain, rose AB 2x link, 1-inch chain, rose water opal link, 1-inch chain, light rose link, 1-inch chain, rose water opal link, 1-inch chain, black diamond cubist link, 1½-inch piece of chain, jump ring and the loop end of the toggle clasp. Step four: Cut a 19-inch piece of gunmetal-plated 3 oval links rollo chain so that the large 3 oval links section is in the center. Attach this chain to the same jump rings that the crystal and chain necklace is attached to. Step five: On a sterling silver 1-inch head pin add the 24x32mm porcelain puffed rectangle nudo accosciato pendant. Cut seven oval links from the left over Figaro chain, and stack them onto the head pin. Add a rose water opal and finish with a simple loop. Connect the loop to the center link on the rollo chain.
