It has always been true that it is what is on the inside that counts, especially when it comes to Christmas stockings. This year make the outside something your loved ones will be proud of too! Embellish a simple, inexpensive stocking with Swarovski rhinestones and sterling charms to create a decoration you won’t want to take down!
Step one: Pre-heat your Bejeweler®. Arrange the crystal rhinestones in a snowflake pattern on a stocking of your choosing. When the Bejeweler ® is hot, press the tip firmly on the rhinestones for approximately 20 seconds to help them adhere to the fuzzy surface of the stocking. Do this with each stone until all are set. Warning! The flatback rhinestones will be hot for a few seconds after you remove the Bejeweler®. Avoid coming in contact with them. Work from the inside of your pattern to the outside.
Step two: Arrange the emerald Swarovski rhinestones in a three line, alternating pattern. You may want to put a notebook or other hard surface under the edge of the stocking to give you a more firm work surface. Remember to always put wax paper between any flammable surface and your Bejeweler®. Press on the rhinestones to adhere.
Step three: Using silamide thread and a #10 short beading needle, sew the charms along the cuff of the stocking. Make several loops. Tie firmly in place when you are done.
