Chloe's Clamshell Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura This fun and inspiring necklace was made to be worn by Maggie's bridesmaid Chloe for her wedding. Step one: Cut four lengths of sterling silver 040 round link chain to approximately 3½ inches each. Attach a jump ring to one end of each chain, loop it through two hammered silver rings and close the jump ring. Do this with two chains for each set of rings then set them aside. Step two: String the Hill Tribe silver medium clam shell bead onto a sterling silver head pin. The holes on these beads can vary, if the hole is too large, string a small bead on the headpin before adding the clamshell bead. Finish with a wrapped loop. For instructions on how to make a wrapped loop, visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Attach the loop to an open jump ring. Step three: Cut two lengths of five inches and one of seven of the .019 Soft Flex jewelry wire. Crimp one of the five inch lengths to one side of the sterling silver question mark toggle. For instructions on how to crimp, visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. String six 10mm pink shell flat diamonds followed by one Hill Tribe small brushed disc. Crimp the end of the wire to one of the hammered rings that you have attached the chain to. Step four: Pull the rings so that they are opposite one another and crimp the seven inch length of Soft Flex to the other ring. String a Hill Tribe silver brushed disc, followed by three 10mm pink shell flat diamonds, a faceted oval 8mm cherry quartz bead, a 6mm Swarovski faceted bicone in sun and another cherry quartz. At this point you will add the pendant and reverse the pattern. Crimp the other end of the wire to another of the hammered silver rings. Step five: On the other side of the rings, crimp the remaining five inch piece of wire and string a brushed silver disc followed by six 10mm pink shell flat diamond beads. Crimp the end of the wire to the other end of your clasp.
