Every June 5, the United Nations asks you to stop and think about the environment, both locally and globally during World Environment Day. This vintage necklace is a visual reminder with nature-inspired elements and a green and brown color palette. Try using the alternative components listed below for a brighter piece.
Step One: Use the antique vintage brass-plated pewter splash donut bail to create a dangle with the 1.5-inch double sided donut in dark/light teal with gold bamboo and the antique brass scarab pendant. Pinch the bail together. Attach the bail to the center of the antique brass-plated oval link chain with an 8mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. For help with jump rings visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step Two: String the hand dyed silk in brown/purple with green edges through the chain intermittently, making sure to string it through the bail. Cut the silk to the same length as the chain. Crimp a 2mm antique vintage brass-plated pewter plain crimp end to each end of the silk. Use a dab of glue for added security. For help with crimp ends visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step Three: Use a 5.5mm antique brass-plated open jump ring to attach the ends of the chain and silk to the antique vintage brass-plated pewter hook and eye clasp.
