Note: When using the ICE Resin, each time you mix you will have enough for multiple pieces of jewelry, so you might want to have other pieces ready so as not to not waste the mix. For help with Ice Resin, visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step One: Cut a background design to fit the frame as well as a small horse photo. Coat each piece in Mod Podge or other sealer to prevent bleeding. Let dry completely. Repeat.
Step Two: Apply a coating of Mod Podge to the inside of the silver-plated pewter grande circle pendant. Position the background cut-out, and gently press it into the frame, making sure it is smooth and without bubbles. Apply another coat of Mod Podge to the cut out. Let dry completely.
Step Three: Apply a small amount of Mod Podge to the bottom of the antique brass western saddle charm to prevent it from moving when you pour the resin. Place the charm where you want it in the frame.
Step Four: Mix together the ICE Resin as indicated on the instructions. Pour the resin slowly into the frame or use a mixing stick to drizzle the resin into the frame. Make sure to fill the frame only about half way. Because of the thickness of the resin, it tends to mound as you pour and then it settles, making it easy to over fill the frame. Let dry 5 to 6 hours, or overnight.
Step Five: Place the horse cut-out where you want it in the frame on top of the previous layer of resin. Mix together a second batch of ICE Resin and pour on top of the first layer. Let dry 24 hours additional hours. Please note that the ICE Resin often takes several days to fully cure, so take care not to make indentions in the surface of your pendant.
Attach an 8mm antique brass plated open jump ring to the pendant. For help with jump rings visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Slide the 16-inch 3.5mm braided leather necklace through the jump ring and enjoy.
