Chartreuse Ceramic Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
This whimsical necklace is simple to make and offer a big punch of color and sparkle! To see a similar style in crimson, click HERE, or go to the Ideas section of the Learning Center and click on Crimson Spiral Necklace.
Step one: Cut a length of Soft Flex .019 jewelry wire to approximately 16 inches. Attach one end of the wire to the loop end of a 16mm sterling silver round toggle clasp using a 2x2mm crimp tube. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube, click HERE or visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Cover the crimp with a crimp cover.
Step two: String a 4mm fire polished olivine AB bead, followed by a 3mm fire polished topaz and another 4mm olivine AB.
Step three: The next section consists of an 8mm fire polished jonquil AB, a 4mm olivine AB, three 3mm topaz, a 4mm olivine AB and another 8mm jonquil AB. Follow that with three 4mm olivine AB, one 3mm topaz and three 4mm olivine AB followed by an 8mm jonquil AB. Repeat this section a second time and then finish with a 4mm olivine AB, three 3mm topaz a 4mm olivine AB and an 8mm jonquil AB.
Step four: You are now at the center of your design. Add ten 4mm olivine AB beads and then reverse the pattern as you work back toward the other end of the necklace. Attach the remaining wire to the bar end of your toggle with a crimp tube. Cover with a crimp cover.
Step five: To attach the pendant, attach a jump ring to the hole of the pendant and two more jump rings to that one. Loop the final jump ring to the center of the necklace. It will slide in the center section when done. You will see, if you visit the Crimson design that the designer only used one jump ring. These pendants are all handmade and the holes are not drilled in exactly the same place for each one. You may need to play with different methods of attaching them to the necklaces, such as multiple jump rings.
