Tired of the same old wrapping paper? Whether you are displaying your jewelry for sale or simply want to set your gift apart, this is a unique and stunning way to show off your work.
Step one: To attach the flatbacks to the bag, either slide a small piece of cardboard between the organza layers, or hold your finger behind the area you are planning to glue. Place a tiny drop of glue on the bag, and with tweezers or a Perfect Positioner, place the flatback on top of the glue. Press lightly with your fingers. The excess glue will bleed through the fabric. Continue until all flatbacks are in place. If using cardboard, do not let the glue dry completely as it will stick to the cardboard.
Step two: To slide the beads onto the ribbons, untie the ribbons and use a piece of beading wire, or dental floss, to pull the ribbon through each bead. If you are unfamiliar with this process please visit the Handy Tips section of the website.
Step three: Tie the ribbons back together once the beads are in place. Attach an open jump ring toward the center of the ribbon and add a charm to each side.
Your gift bags are going to be the talk of the party – enjoy!
Variations: Change the color of your bag, beads or flatbacks. Vary the charms to reflect the personality of the recipient. To cut back on cost, buy a mix pack of Czech glass fire polish beads.
Approximate cost: Under $20 (does not include glue)
