Fond memories of France inspired our designer Cynthia to create this lovely necklace. Her husband proposed to her in France, and they enjoyed romantic walks together along the famous Champs Élysées avenue where she had her first taste of Crème Brûlée. The heart, fleur-de-lis and Eiffel Tower in this design are complemented by pink pearls and lampwork disc beads.
Step one: Cut out the Eiffel Tower image from the Paris collage sheet to fit the Nunn Design antique silver-plated pewter raised pendant rectangle. Apply a small amount of sealer to the front of the pendant. Press your paper image onto the pendant, making sure to press out any air bubbles as you go. Cover the image with a thin coat of sealer. Let dry. Pour enough Gel de Soleil over the image to cover it evenly. Place the pendant under a UV lamp for 15 minutes to cure.
Step two: Thread a mini porcelain puffed rectangle bead in raspberry onto a 1-inch sterling silver 20 gauge eye pin. Finish the eye pin with a simple loop, creating a link. Attach the link to the pendant using a sterling silver open jump ring. Attach the TierraCast® antique silver hummingbird charm to the jump ring using a second jump ring. Set aside.
Step three: Cut 18 1/2 inches of ZambaPro™ .019 jewelry wire. Use a sterling 2x2mm crimp tube to attach the wire to a jump ring. For help with crimping, visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step four: String 25 4.5-5mm fuchsia potato pearls, a TierraCast® antique silver oasis rondelle, a turquoise and amethyst with beige disc bead, a rondelle and 10 pearls. String a rondelle, a disc bead and a rondelle. String 10 pearls, a rondelle, a disc bead, a rondelle and 25 pearls. Use a crimp tube to connect the end of the wire to a jump ring. Set aside.
Step five: Thread a disc bead onto an eye pin. Finish the eye pin with a simple loop, creating a link. Repeat. Set aside.
Step six: Cut two pieces of antique silver-plated big, medium and small oval link chain approximately 7 1/4-inches long. These long chains should look exactly alike so that the necklace stays symmetrical. Cut a short section of chain that has links in the following pattern: 3 smaller links, 1 large link, 3 smaller links, 1 large link, 3 smaller links.
Step seven: From left to right, link together the following items in this order: a jump ring, the first long chain, a simple loop link, the short chain, a simple loop link, the second long chain and a jump ring.
Step eight: Attach the simple loop link on the pendant to the center link of the short chain using a jump ring. Attach the TierraCast® antique silver sacred heart milagro charm to the large link on the left side of the pendant using a jump ring. Attach the TierraCast® antique silver large fleur-de-lis charm to the large link on the right side of the pendant using a jump ring.
Step nine: Use a jump ring to connect the loop end of the TierraCast® rhodium radiant toggle clasp to the jump rings on one end of the pearl strand and chain strand. Repeat with the bar end of the toggle to finish the other side of the necklace.
