Q: What are headpins and eyepins for?
A: Headpins and eyepins are typically for creating dangles. Headpins are for the very end of a dangle; eyepins for creating a dangle that has another dangle hanging off of it. For either one, though, the technique is the same. Slide the beads on, making sure you have about a quarter inch of wire left at the top. Bend the wire at a 90-degree angle, then grip the very end with the tips of round nose pliers and twist them to create a loop. Open and close the finished loop like you would a jump ring; twist it open, don't undo the loop. These components are a great way to make simple earrings and fancy necklaces and bracelets.
