Colorful Bridesmaid Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
Spring and summer are wedding seasons, so we wrapped up the colors of the seasons in this one, colorful, elegant necklace. This design is simple to make and will coordinate with a variety of colors for your bridesmaid's dresses!
Step one: Cut a piece of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire to approximately 18 inches. Attach one end to the loop end of a 13mm sterling silver toggle clasp using a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Cover the crimp tube with a sterling silver crimp cover.
Step two: You will be using a mix pearl strand for this design. The order you string the colors in is not important, just try to avoid putting two of the same color next to each other. Begin by stringing a 4.5mm corrugated saucer bead followed by a pearl. Alternate between the two until you have nine saucer beads and eight pearls.
Step three: String a 9mm rose clear dichroic glass rhomboid. Follow that with the saucer/pearl pattern until you have seven corrugated saucer beads and six pearls. Add a 9mm amber clear rhomboid. Repeat the pattern with six pearls and seven spacers, a rose rhomboid, etc.
Step four: When you have three of each color rhomboid (you should end on an amber bead) finish with the saucer/pearl pattern of nine saucers and eight pearls. Attach the remaining wire to the bar end of your toggle clasp using a crimp tube, and cover with a crimp cover. You will be the star of the wedding when you present the bridesmaids with these beautiful necklaces!
