Pick up any magazine and you will see the large loop chain being used in a myriad of designs. This idea is easier than it looks and takes elegant to a fun new level!
Step one: Cut 14 to 15 inches of the sterling silver deluxe round link chain. Attach a sterling silver 16mm round toggle using open jump rings.
Step two: On 1 1/2 inch sterling silver, 24 gauge head pins, prepare your dangles. You will need seven 10mm Swarovski might blue pearls by themselves. On the other eight head pins, string a sterling silver 5mm beadcap (outside to the bottom), followed by a 9x6 Swarovski crystal AB teardrop, bottom side down, then a 4mm silver and crystal squaredelle, and a 4mm night blue pearl.
Step three: Find the center ring of your chain and attach a pearl dangle using a wrapped loop. For detailed instructions on how to make a wrapped loop please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step four: Working out from the center, alternate crystal and pearl dangles on each link of the chain. Be careful of where on the link you are placing the dangle. It is best to lay it on a flat surface between each step to make sure you are attaching all of the dangles to the bottom of the links. When you are finished you should have crystals on both ends of the design. Alternative components: If blue is not your color, try some of our other Swarovski pearls; bright gold or black makes a wonderful look for evening, white, creamrose, or mauve would be perfect for a wedding. You should have enough chain left over for a bracelet! Order more crystal and pearls to make a set!
