Blue Grotto Necklace

This striking necklace has a peek of green dichroic glass in the center of the focal bead that is echoed throughout the necklace. The colors are rich, and the design fairly simple to make! Step one: Cut three 20-inch pieces of ZambaPro 49 .019 jewelry wire. Use a 2x2mm copper antiqued crimp tube to crimp a 4mm antique copper-plated open jump ring to each of the wires. For help using crimp tubes please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Attach the three jump rings to a 6mm antique copper-plated open jump ring. Attach the 6mm jump ring to the loop end of the antique copper bamboo clasp set. Note: Even though the smaller beads are strung in a random pattern, you may want to layout your beads ahead to allow for an even mix of color and size. Step two: On each of the three wires use a random mix of the 4mm cat's eye light blue beads, the fire polished Madeira topaz beads, the fire polished aqua 2mm beads, and the silver lined kelly green delicas to a length of three inches. String all three jewelry wires through an antique copper 6mm teke heishi spacer, an aqua glass flat hexagon and a heishi spacer. Step three: On each wire repeat the random pattern to a length of two inches. On all three wires add a heishi spacer, hexagon and a heishi spacer. Step four: On each wire repeat random pattern to a length of one and one-half inches. Add the blue, brown with green dichroic kalera bead. Reverse the steps to complete the necklace and attach the bar end of the clasp.
