This necklace was originally made for Beth to wear in Maggie’s wedding. It was so popular with her friends that it became a summertime favorite. Make one for yourself in colors of your choosing.
Step two: Prepare two dangles by stringing a 3mm peridot round followed by a sterling silver flower petal bead cap, a light orange nugget pearl and a 3mm padparadscha faceted round crystal. Finish with a wrapped loop. For instructions on how to make a wrapped loop, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Prepare the pendant by linking three sterling silver open oval jump rings together, the last one through the pendant. Set all of these components aside.
Step three: String a 4mm Swarovski peridot faceted cube bead followed by three head drilled orange pearls, a 3mm faceted round peridot pearl, a light orange nugget pearl, another peridot round, 10 head drilled pearls, a peridot round, light orange nugget pearl, peridot round, add one of the dangles you made then another peridot round and 12 head drilled pearls. Add another peridot round and then add the pendant. Reverse the pattern as you work back toward the other end of the necklace. Crimp the wire to the other filigree link.
Step four: Alternate large and small sterling silver open oval jump rings until you have a chain of 11, then attach them to one of the filigree links on the loop opposite the beads. Add the hook side of the clasp to the jump rings. Repeat this for the other side of the necklace and add the hook to the second to last link. On the last link, attach approximately 4 ˝ inches of sterling silver round link chain.
Step five: Create a dangle by stringing a 3mm Swarovski peridot faceted round followed by a sterling silver flower petal bead cap, a light orange nugget pearl and 3mm peridot round. Finish with a wrapped loop that goes through the last link of the chain. Create several more dangles with pearls and crystals. You can stack them or string them individually. Finish each with a wrapped loop and attach them to the chain with sterling silver round open jump rings in random places along the last two inches of the chain.
