Make this charm bracelet for the Twilight®* fan in your family. We used photographs from our sightseeing trip to Forks in our resin charms. We chose a wolf charm, crystal heart and moon among others to represent various parts in the Twilight®* saga and then sprinkled in blood-colored Siam and dark red coral Swarovski crystals for drama.
Choose frame shapes and sizes to suit your images. For help using Ice Resin please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center.
We used the antique silver-plated pewter large square pendant for our truck image and the antique silver-plated pewter small square pendant for the La Push and Welcome to Forks images. We did the Welcome to Forks pendant in two layers.
Step one: Cut the images to fit the frames. Coat both sides of the images with a coat of Mod Podge and allow them to dry completely. Apply a second coat and dry completely. Apply a coat to the inside of the frame. Place the image inside the frame and smooth to remove any bubbles. Apply a coat to the top of the image and allow it to dry.
Step two: Make a batch of resin. For a single image, pour the resin into the frame and allow it to cure completely. To layer images, pour the first layer part way up in the frame. Allow it to dry 4 to 5 hours or overnight. Tack the second image in place with a bit of Mod Podge. Mix a second batch of resin and fill the frame the rest of the way. Allow it to cure completely. Link two 6.10mm sterling silver open jump rings together and attach them to frame pendants.
Step three: Link two 6.10mm jump rings together and attach them to the sterling silver motorcycle charm. Do the same for the 16mm crystal moon pendant and the wolf charm.
Step four: Attach a 6.10mm jump ring to the sterling silver apple for teacher charm and the antique silver plated pewter small feather charm.
Step five: Link the 9mm sterling silver open jump ring to the 4.6mm sterling silver open jump ring. Attach the 9mm jump ring to the 18x17.5mm crystal faceted heart pendant.
Step six: On a 1 1/2-inch head pin thread a 6/0 silver-lined garnet Toho, an antique silver plated pewter 8mm bead aligner, the 10.0mm enamel forever bead, two more Tohos to fill the inside of the forever bead, another aligner bead and another Toho. Finish with a wrapped loop. For help making wrapped loops, please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Attach a 6.10mm jump ring to the wrapped loop.
Step seven: On a head pin thread a 10mm faceted Siam round. Finish with a simple loop. Attach a 6.10mm jump ring to the wrapped loop. Repeat three times.
Step eight: On a head pin thread an 8mm faceted dark red coral round. Finish with a simple loop. Attach a 6.10mm jump ring to the wrapped loop. Repeat three times.
Step nine: Cut the silver plated large rolo chain 1/2 inches short of the desired length. We cut ours to seven inches. Attach the 14x7mm heart clasp to one end.
Step ten: Arrange the frames, charms and dangles on the bracelet in any order you wish.
