There are few things in life as dear as grandparents. Honor them this year with a lovingly crafted scrapbook of their grandchildren's pictures so those special moments can be captured forever in time.
We used the Making Memories 8x8" uneven scallop album for our sweet photo album. Use our idea as inspiration but choose any papers and embellishments you wish to decorate your photographs. We used beads, charms, buttons and ribbons.
Album Cover Step one: We used ink that we purchased at our local craft store to distress the edges to the cover of our album.
Step two: Use Memory book Dot 'N Go glue dots to attach papers, die-cuts and photos to the cover and window. We used paper and die cuts from Scrap Pad To Go - Kazoo Kids.
Step three: Use E6000 to attach charms, buttons and crystals. We used SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS 6mm crystal margarita bead, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS erinite 8mm margarita bead, the antique pewter angel holding star charm, the antique brass star charm, antique brass kitty charm, the antique gold-plated pewter letter bead - a b and c, dusty green diminutive nylon button, light yellow Petaluma polyester button, red Petaluma polyester button and cream Petaluma polyester button.
Step four: Use E6000 to attach flatback rhinestones to the cover. We used SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS ss12 in black diamond and crystal Dorado.
Step five: Tie the hand-dyed silk rainbow ribbon around the cover and knot it. Slide the antique pewter countryside button onto the ribbon and knot the end to secure it.
Pages Step one: Choose any craft paper you wish to create the background and the cut-outs for the pages. Cut the paper to fit the pages and arrange the cut outs and photos.
Step two: Tie a piece SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS powder rose cotton yarn with 3mm powder rose pearls onto the antique brass star flower charm, the sterling silver let's play and cute candy heart charms, and the sterling silver swirl design heart charm. We punched holes in the paper and tied on the silver charms.
Step three: Use E6000 to attach the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS ss16 Indian pink flatback to the star flower charm.
Step four: Use glue dots to attach the photos and cut-outs to the paper.
Step five: Use E6000 to glue the star flower charm, antique brass flower charm, antique gold-plated pewter letter beads, pewter dream charm, and the cream Petaluma polyester button to the pages.
Step six: Use the Bejeweler Pro Ergonomic to attach SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS hotfix rhinestones. We used SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS hotfix flatbacks in ss16 and ss12 fuchsia. For help using the Bejeweler please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center.
Step seven: Punch a hole in the tab on the page. Fold a 10-inch piece of hand dyed multi greens silk ribbon in half and thread the fold through the hole. Thread the tails through the loop at the fold. Slide the antique silver plated pewter king's crown charm onto one of the tails and knot the end to secure it.
