Breast Cancer Awareness Earrings

This set of earrings is a personal way to show your support. Make a pair of earrings for a friend, a mother or a daughter who is battling cancer and a pair for you to wear as she goes through her fight. We chose Fire Designs strawberry shortcake glass beads for these earrings, they are hand blown glass so no two beads are identical in size and shape but you should find pairs that are very close. Feel free to use this idea as inspiration and choose any kind of beads to your liking. You might want to use one of our ribbon charms such as CHARM368 to dangle from the earrings instead of the crystals. Step one: Starting with a 1 1/2 inch sterling silver eye pin stack a 4mm Swarovski crystal, an antique copper spacer and a Fire Designs glass bead. The holes of the glass beads are large, so we used enough Toho 11/0 round beads on the eye pin to fill the inside of the hole, this will prevent the glass bead from wobbling. The holes in your beads may vary and require a different size seed bead. Follow with another antique copper spacer and a 4mm Swarovski crystal. Finish with a simple loop. For Instructions on Making a Simple Loop, please see the Handy Tips section. Connect this to a sterling silver ear wire. Repeat for the second ear. Step two: On a 1 inch sterling silver head pin place the Swarovski teardrop or 6mm round crystal and finish with a simple loop. Connect this dangle to the earring. Repeat for the other ear. Step three: Make another pair to share.
