Aurelia is another name for the moon jelly, a gorgeous creature that rides the ocean currents. These earrings live up to their name, as their blue-green color and dangling silver strands are reminiscent of this unique animal. They are easy enough for a beginner and can be finished in less than thirty minutes.
Step one: For the first earring cut seven pieces from the sterling 050 diamond cut rollo chain. The pieces should have the following lengths: two 1-inch pieces, two 1 1/4-inch pieces, two 1 1/2-inch pieces and one 1 3/4-inch piece.
Step two: Begin creating a wrapped loop at one end of a two-inch piece of sterling silver round 24 gauge half hard wire. For help creating a wrapped loop, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Before finishing the loop, string the first link of each chain onto the wire in this order: one 1-inch chain, one 1 1/4-inch chain, one 1 1/2-inch chain, one 1 3/4-inch chain, one 1 1/2-inch chain, one 1 1/4-inch chain and a 1-inch chain. The chains should form a V shape as they dangle. Complete the wrapped loop.
Step three: Thread one 12mm leopard print aquamarine Venetian glass round with sapphire spots onto the wire above the wrapped loop you just created.
Step four: Finish the wire with a wrapped loop. Trim off any excess wire. Attach the wrapped loop to the loop on a sterling silver 3mm mirror earwire. Repeat steps one through four to complete the second earring.
