Alpine Fields Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
As summer's warmth reaches the alpine fields, apiarists bring their bees to gather honey from newly sprouted wildflowers. This gorgeous necklace captures that moment, combining fresh green and purple tones with antique brass bees to create the fresh feel of summer on the mountains.
Step one: Add one 4.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring to the antique brass buzzing bee charm. String the 25mm celadon wavy bamboo mother of pearl round pendant and the bee charm's jump ring onto one 6mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. String the 46mm celadon grass tab shell round pendant and the 6mm jump ring of the combined charms onto a second 6mm jump ring. You have just created the pendant for this necklace.
Step two: Cut one 7.5-inch piece of ZambaPro™ .019 jewelry wire. Attach the wire to one part of the antique brass flower and bee hook and eye clasp using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. String the following beads onto the wire: ten 6mm olivine and amethyst crackle druk beads, one Swarovski 5810 5mm light green round pearl, six druk beads, one pearl, three druk beads, one pearl and five druk beads. Attach the end of the wire to one antique brass branch with leaves link using a crimp tube. For help using a crimp tube, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Add one 4.5mm jump ring to the end of the link.
Step three: Repeat step two to make a second strand. Cut a 4-inch piece of jewelry wire. Using a crimp tube, attach the wire to the jump ring of one of the links. On the wire, string five druk beads, the jump ring of the large pendant and five druk beads. Attach the wire to the jump ring on the remaining link using a crimp tube.
