Pocket Full of Posies Bracelet Instructions Designed by Cheri Carlson
Sweet style blossoms in this colorful bracelet. Layers of beads, bead caps and acrylic flowers decorate every inch of this design. The look is so easy to recreate, too. All you need are brass-plated bead caps, acrylic flowers and Swarovski Faceted Rounds in your favorite colors to make a flowery bracelet that fits your style. Explore how acrylic flowers can brighten up your designs by creating your own take on our fabulous bracelet!
Step one: Cut a length of antique brass-plated textured double oval link chain approximately 6 1/2 inches long. Add a 15x8mm antique brass-plated trigger clasp to one end using a 6mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. For help using jump rings, please see our Handy Tip Video. Add a 8mm antique brass-plated open jump ring to the other end of the chain.
Step two: Use acrylic flower beads, antique brass-plated bead caps and Swarovski faceted rounds to create the flowers decorating this bracelet. Our designer added her components to TierraCast 2-inch 20 gauge brass oxide pewter head pins. She created 18 different flowers. Some feature a faceted round bead followed by a bead cap and an acrylic flower, while others feature a faceted round bead followed by an acrylic flower and then a bead cap. Add these components in color patterns that you find pleasing.
Step three: Add these flowers to your bracelet in a random pattern by creating wrapped loops at the end of the head pins. Learn more about making wrapped loops in this Handy Tip. The links on this chain open, so you can complete the wrapped loops before you add the flowers or wrap them directly to the chain if you prefer.
