A Day at the Beach Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
Remember your day at the beach when you're stuck at the office. Gathered shells, sand and lichen combine with silver and antique copper components to create the adventurous maritime look of this necklace.
For help applying Ice Resin, please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. There is enough resin in the Ice Resin Kit to make dozens of pieces.
Step one: Place the sand (if desired), the antique silver-plated lighthouse charm and the rest of your gathered pieces onto the antique copper-plated pewter grande square pendant. Make sure they are not much higher than the sides of the pendant. When you find the best position for the pieces, tack them down with Mod Podge or other sealer to ensure they will not move.
Step two: Make a batch of Ice Resin. Pour the resin into the frame to just below the frame's edge. Allow to dry. Our pendant required two layers to completely cover the pieces, so we mixed another batch of resin and poured it to a slight mound. Allow to cure completely.
Step three: After the resin has completely cured, attach the pendant to the 16-inch 4mm rubber necklace with an 8mm antique copper-plated open jump ring. For help using a jump ring, visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
